Galloway Invitational - October 27/07

Galloway Stables' first Invitational Event on 27 October 2007 went off without a hitch. We started a wee bit late, ended nice and early and had a fantastic BBQ lunch.  There were lots of laughs and it was a great learning experience for all.  A couple of competitors, Erin Sloan and Inga Hansen, showed us just how this eventing thing is done.  Galloway had never seen the jumps so high. The stadium jumping phase was really exciting. We even had jump offs. Stephanie Bonin's little Welsh cob just won't quit. He was over the jumps and around the cross country course without a hitch. What a great day!!!!  The weather wasn't too bad, a bit chilly at first, but what we lacked in balmy weather, we made up for with warm friendships.  And geez, the benefits of holding an event in late fall - no bugs or sunburn.  Here are a few pictures to get you interested.  We are waiting on the "official" photos and will post them as soon as they become available.
